It is a with grief that I express my condolences for my very dear friend Andreas. You had so much energy and positive spirit, you lead technology leadership forward by creating new innovative solutions. But foremost you supported your colleagues and teams with positivity and humour. With a smile you pushed us forward and facilitated team play.
We met in 1997 when you joined the system and product department for mobile switching network. Here we worked closely together for several years.
Andreas was the organizer, and besides his formal management role he was the person facilitating collaboration and joint activities. Many good memories from those days with Andreas guiding colleagues on a city tour in Aachen, telling stories in an inspirational way when we had finished the work meetings. In various positions, Andreas played an instrumental role in the complex and dynamics projects developing the mobile network from GSM into the future. Perseverance and focus on long term commitments were clearly demonstrated by Andreas.
After my return to Sweden, we kept in touch both on the personal and on the professional level. You made regular business trips to Stockholm, and I was frequent traveller visiting Aachen to learn about the latest on the innovation days. Followed by the COVID period with video talks. As usual, you waved before starting the presentation to the global Ericsson community last week.
