Andreas belonged to our work group during the last few years. Some of us had worked with Andreas for decades, and some of us sit in other countries and had never managed to meet him in person. Regardless of this, Andreas was the kind person that everyone knew and who made everyone feel welcome and supported in our team. Knowledgable and hard working, but also generous and caring, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear.
We met Andreas last Thursday morning to agree what work environment actions to take during 2024. As usual Andreas was an active contributor to the discussion and it was just another friendly meeting. We were shocked and devastated when we learned about his sudden passing the next day.
We will miss Andreas immensely.
